Forget vacation. That 6% will show up all over the place - like grocery stores, restaurants, retail goods. Anything that needs transporting to get to you will carry that cost with it. You will pay the 6% without going to a gas station.

"Gasoline prices have edged off the pedal in recent days ... " - a little bit, but drivers have not. They're still driving as fast as ever. People will drive less, but when they are on the road ... 'zzzooommmmmm!'

It's more like double that + . Closer to 15% from last year ( I was paying about 3.40 to 3.50 same time last year.

What a shock. How many decades now have prices peaked about now?

Don't bother reading the full article. Only the first paragraph relates to the article title.
For a lot of drivers, the travel season will not cost more, because they simply will not travel. But the tourism and service industries will surely feel the pinch.

Going to cost more for everything, not just fuel.
