As bad as it hurts to say, energy independance will only happen if we use a lot less. In truth, this is not going to happen. This has been said since I was a college boy in the 1970s.

Natural gas is a resource that everyone has but if the have too much off it the price would go down. I think big oil is behind this and is a big publicity stunt to show the public that they are looking for new resources. In Alberta the find gas and if the price is low they cap it till the price is right.

Natural gas wells are a big deal if the residents use natural gas for heating their homes and businesses. From what I have heard, however, in that area homes are heated using fuel oil.
An interesting part of the article was the number of violations - overweight and oversized trucks. Do they think they are above the law just because they are involved in natural gas / energy production?

The article did not say if they were all producing wells.???? Hopefully they are but there is always some that are not..
