Not applicable. I work from home, but when I do my errands I normally take my favorite shortcuts.

Well I'm not working right now, but when I was going to college, I'd go the same route almost always. Every so often I would decide to take a country road or rather a state route road instead of the interstate. I would get off at one exit and get back on at the next exit.

I take the same way every day as it is the fastest. I could take a slower way, but choose only to go that way when the weather makes the other risky, as it is time consuming.

Follow the same route most days because I only have 1 option. It would be nice if I had more options, I like a change of pace.

The best way is only 3.6 miles.
The next best is about 8.
Which one would someone take?

Don't do this any more (retired) but when I did work I had 4 routes that were about equal in length. The freeway was the longest distance but shortest time when there wasn't a tieup. I usually took one of the sidestreet routes - less problems, shorter, only about 5 min. longer.

I take a lot of different routes to work. I guess I get bored looking at the same ole stuff everyday. The differences in the areas from morning to afternoon is really amazing.

I drive 35 miles to work. I have about 8 different routes, I use each one depending on traffic, weather and the cheapest Gas. That is one of the reasons I use gas buddy .

As of right now, I'm doing carpentry work five minutes away. After I get my coffee from Tim Hortons, I take a small detour just to kill a bit of time so it does not look so obvious that I have nothing better to do than show up to work fourty minutes early...I enjoy it anyways checking out new construction along the way...

I always go the same way. Its 5 miles and never takes more than 20 minutes here in Oklahoma City. Much better than the 20 miles on Interstate I drove in Chicago every day.

Follow the same route most days but will take a slightly shorter, but more urban, hence slower alternate in case of traffic problems on the primary route
