The real question is: will we ever see $50 US a barrel again?

Fifty dollars a barrel? With oil now around eighty dollars, this all sounds like a big, nose-thumbing joke!

The question should now be, "Will prices ever go back to $50 per barrel? No, not likely ever again. The price is pushing past $80 at a time of the year when it should be declining.

I'm not sure if it did during this time frame but I'm sure crude oil prices at $50 per barrel now would make quite a few drivers pretty happy

It's around $78 per barrel now, so I don't see it going down to $50 anytime soon

I wish they would go back to $50 and below. That's not likely to happen ever again.

This topic is old and out of date. Crude prices have been pushing into the upper $60s for months now.

I don't think we will ever see that price again. It will probably average between $58-$62 per barrel.

It's getting close right now (around $53 per barrel), but OPEC will probably reduce output, thus raising the price, so no, it will not reach $50 per barrel.

OPEC will not allow it to go down that far ever again. I think we have seen the last of $50 per barrel oil. It will probably average between $58-$62 per barrel.

How does anyone that is not in the oil business know such a questions. Only God knows such things. That is like me asking you "what is my birthday?" Dumb question.
