Stations such as Sky Fuel @ E. Main & Greenfield in El Cajon post deceptive pricing with small print on the sign stating "cash price." Usually 10 cents less than actual. Even Debit not considered cash. I won't do business there. Very poor business practice.

El Cajon? I wouldn't go to El Cajon if you paid me. It is a dump of a town. Too damn hot in the Summer. Better to live and stay in La Jolla like I do.

You wrote "stations such as Sky Fuel...post deceptive pricing...I assume that means there there are other stations that do the same thing? I'm not sure, exactly, how the pricing is deceptive if you can read on the sign that it's the cash price? Are you suggesting that potential customers can't see the wording until they pull up to the pump?

What does "Usually 10 cents less than actual" mean?
Are you saying that when you get to the pump you find that the real cash price is generally 10 cents more than they say it is? Or are you saying something else, such as the credit/debit price is different than the cash price? Seems to me, and maybe I don't understand, if they're selling gas at the cash price they advertise it at, then that's the actual price.

"Even Debit not considered cash."
Again, I'm not sure what you mean by that. Very few gas stations sell gas at the cash price if you're using a debit card to pay for your purchase (assuming there's a price difference for cash and other forms of payment). Are you saying that all the other gas stations, except Sky Fuel, considers debit card payment to be the same as cash, and that only this gas station considers debit card payment to be the same as credit card payment?

But, sorry, I have no idea where El Cajon is, though I assume it's in the San Diego area (as that's your membership identification). I would think, like others have suggested, that this might be more useful posted in your local San Diego discussion forum, as it will let local Gas Buddy members know about the gas station you have concerns or issues with.

That said, welcome to Gas Buddy. I'm sure your fellow San Diego Gas Buddy members look forward to your posting gas prices to help them be more knowledgeable shoppers, just as their posting gas prices will help you.

Sk57CA as gougenator notes, this is better placed in your local discussion board. Comments posted here are viewed by members throughout the US and Canada. I doubt that the other member care about Sky Fuel @ E. Main & Greenfield in El Cajon.

That said apparently the "deceptive pricing" scheme does not work since you could see right through it. Given your concern for pricing, I am suprised that you only have 120 points (100 to join and 20 to post your topic). You should be updating the prices on this sight so that you and other members are better able to keep track of local prices.
